Who we are …
We are an interdisciplinary team with in-depth species expertise in birds and bats as well as extensive programming skills.
Our office is in Freiburg im Breisgau. This is also where we develop, test, and build the ecoPis ourselves.
… and what we do
We develop practical solutions for the automated collection, AI-assisted analysis, and visualisation of ecological data. Our goal is to gain a better, data-driven understanding of ecological relationships and thereby contribute to the conservation of biodiversity.
Other projects
Besides ecoPi we also work on other projects. For example, we develop the software tool ProBat to protect bats at wind turbines, assess anti-collision systems for demand-based shutdowns, and are currently studying insect occurrence at wind turbines as part of federal research projects.
